if you were

If you were my valentine
Our love will not be clandestine
I would call you in the morning
Just before the dawning
I will tell you I love you
And there is no one besides you
I will bribe your sister to do your chores
So that you can sleep of course
Then I will send you a message
That you are my advantage
I will send you flowers
After every two hours
I will take you out for lunch
Right after we have had a romantic brunch
I will call you again
And send you a bottle of Champagne
I will visit you at work
Just to kiss you and say “check”
I will let your friends know
That you are my girl
And it is for you that I fell
I will ask them, “can’t you tell?”
It is as clear as a bell
Then I will cook you supper
And we will have ice cream after
I will feed you chocolate
And after that some grapes
Finally I will kiss you goodnight
And let you know, you are my light
And you make my life bright
Then I will put you to bed
But that will not be the end
Cos I will sing you my song
And watch you sleep all night long
But you are not my Valentine
So I will just say
Have a good day
