Real Friendship are made not found

A friend of mine was talking about how hard it was to find real friendships one evening and so as usual I spent a big part of the night thinking about what "real" friendship really means and why it was difficult to find it. After some deep thought,  I concluded that, you cannot find "real" friendship, you have to create it yourself. Who are great friends? Are they perfect people? No! Are they infallible? No. They are ordinary people who have made a conscious and committed decision to create a relationship that transcends pettiness, selfishness, apathy and immaturity. The worst enemy of a great or real friendship is APATHY! Simply put, if you don't care what happens to your "friend", then you are not one. Real friends don't keep tabs on who called more or who visited more. They focus on being the best possible from their side. As they do that, the law of sowing and reaping rewards them with the fruit of great friendship. It is not a great thing to be a good friend when people are close to you. The real test is when they are far from you. That is where the real test happens. So don't conclude on real friendship just yet, wait till they move away or you do. In conclusion, real friendship are not found, they are made.
