WISDOM, the principle thing.

Last night i was talking to a young doctor friend of mine and several life issues came up. We were deliberating on the incidences of several very talented and often well meaning people who have big hopes in life but eventually end up disappointed and disenchanted with life. As i spoke to him, i had a peculiar revelation and i want to share it with you, my friends.
it was about the principle of source. Simply put, many people struggle in life because of WISDOM! There are several definitions of wisdom, but the simplest and hence my favorite is, "the ability to recognize difference". Your ability to recognize the difference between the outcomes of choices determines the actions you take and hence the quality of your future. Your ability to to recognize the differences between people, their talents and skills determine how and when you relate to them, which in effect also determines the quality of your network. So you see, WISDOM truly is the principal thing.

Then the next step is understanding whose basic definition is knowing the essence of difference and what actions to take because of or in spite of that knowledge. So many people because of their lack of WISDOM and UNDERSTANDING they end up making basic mistakes and miss out on the best things in life.
For example the law of CAUSE and EFFECT, ROOT and FRUIT or even SEED and HARVEST! What things are effects and what things are causes? What things are roots and what are just fruits. What actions are seeds, and what occurrences are harvests? Without the ability to know that struggles, poverty, misery and disrespect are simply effects and not causes, many waste their time trying to change the effects whilst the causes are left unattended. It is like trying to change the produce of a plant by cutting all it's branches or plucking off all its fruits. So long as the roots remain, the same harvest will occur every season. Do you know exactly why you are poor, miserable or stressed.

Take some time out and spend it on yourself. Look deeply into your heart and silently consider your actions, mentality and philosophies of life. Is there synergy in your intentions, actions and vision? Is there congruency in the goals you have set for yourself? It is only in asking ourselves these questions and finding the answers that we can realize the real stories behind the headlines of our recent outward experiences. So, i concluded by saying that, the best gift you can develop in yourself is to attain WISDOM. Learn the ability to identify the real causes or roots of your problems and tackle them, instead of wasting time and reacting to their effects in futility.
